Caroline Young is a freelance writer and author specialising in fashion, pop culture and classic cinema.
As well as developing CRAZY OLD LADIES: THE STORY OF HAG HORROR, and working on her first novel, she is the author of KITTED OUT, HITCHOCK’S HEROINES, LIVING WITH COCO CHANEL, ROMAN HOLIDAY and STYLE TRIBES.
Her latest book THE COLOURS OF FASHION uncovers the colourful history of style, through 10 shades and their key moments in the spotlight – including Beyoncé in empowering yellow chiffon, Valentino’s signature red gowns, and Audrey Hepburn in that Little Black Dress – and shows that colour means so much more than meets the eye.
Originally from Edinburgh, where she still lives, Caroline has written for and featured in The Herald, Scotland on Sunday, I-On, Premier Living magazine, The Telegraph, and The Scotsman.
“Isabel Atherton helped me find the best place for my first picture book – the award winning ‘The Only Child.’ She is not only a experienced and professional book agent, but also a trusted friend, who guides like a friend and shares ideas. The process of book publishing with Isabel was a really sweet and smooth journey for me.”
