Akara Heart has always been drawn to the arts and has pursued training in acting, dancing, and presenting, performing both in feature films and at festivals. She has collaborated with David Alderton on various film, podcast, and written projects, including being commissioned by SriLankan Airlines, where they worked together to script and co-present a film and also produced a book about the fascinating elephant migration on the island. Currently, Akara and David are writing a new book titled Mysterious Creatures: The Truth Behind the Legends (agented by the brilliant Isabel at Creative Authors of course!) which is set to be published by Rowman & Littlefield in 2025. Akara resides in Glastonbury, where, in addition to creating stories and digital artworks, she holds regular sacred dance workshops and courses, working also as a freelance photographer. In her free time, she enjoys leisurely walks in Avalon with Halo, her beloved PomChi.
