About Isabel

Isabel Atherton is an experienced literary agent with an eye for commercial potential, representing prize-winning authors and illustrators from around the world. Isabel holds a BA (Hons) in English Literature and an MA in Contemporary Approaches to English Studies. Both were studied at Goldsmiths College, University of London.

All authors are individually handled by Isabel Atherton and Creative Authors prides itself on a personal and highly efficient service. Creative Authors aims to take first time writers and established authors to a new level of recognition. With all our authors we aim to establish a life-time relationship. However, we are highly selective and only take on new writers whose work we genuinely love.

Creative Authors is a transatlantic agency. We sell directly to the US and UK, cutting out the need for a subagent in these territories.

How we support our Writers and Illustrators

• Creative Authors will carefully assess and edit our authors’ material.
• We will negotiate advances and royalties on our writers’ behalf.
• Advise on career paths, suggesting new directions where appropriate.
• We will keep a keen eye on publishing trends.
• We will sell translation rights, US and UK rights directly and exploit film and TV rights
• We will follow up payments due to our writers.
• We have experience in marketing and publicity and will encourage and assist our writers in publicising themselves.
