About Derek

Derek Turner is an Irish writer presently living in Lincolnshire, who has written for the Times, Sunday Telegraph, Daily Mail, Literary Review, The Lady, Chronicles, Taki’s Magazine, Modern Age and many other journals in Europe and America. His first novel, Sea Changes, was praised by the celebrated Spectator columnist Taki, prize-winning author Jillian Becker, and Chilton Williamson, former Books Editor at National Review. Before taking up writing full-time, he worked as a gardener, sailor, salesman, security guard and editor, amongst other jobs almost equally disreputable. His latest book, a London-set novella entitled Displacement, will shortly be published by Endeavour.

Testimonials

“I have worked with Isabel for 8 years and she has recently brokered my fourth book deal for me. She is the most wonderful agent any writer could wish for fighting their corner.  I value her continued support, advice and friendship.”
