Cassie Liversidge was born in the UK and studied Fine Art at Plymouth University. She grew up on her parent’s plant nursery where her love of gardening began.
Her children’s books ‘Grow Your Own Ingredients’ came from a desire to share her passion for eating home grown food and to give children and parents the confidence to grow their own. They are child led gardening books with step-by-step instructions of how to grow all of the ingredients you need and the recipe to create the finished dish. She runs ‘Edible Playgrounds’ at schools in East London, where pupils get the opportunity to grow their own food to eat in the school canteen as well as learn about in the classroom.
‘Homegrown tea’ is a gardening book for tea lovers. It explains how to grow a large variety of plants, from which you can make your own homegrown teas and tisanes. Your own garden, balcony or even windowsill could become your tea cupboard.
She lives and works in London with her husband and two sons.
